Axiom III:


III. From a given definite cause an effect necessarily follows ; and, on the other hand, if no definite cause be granted, it is impossible that an effect can follow.


[All causes produce effects, and there is no effect without a cause.]

III. Ex data causa determinata necessario sequitur effectus, & contra, si nulla detur determinata causa, impossibile est, ut effectus sequatur.
