Nietzsche wonders how error and the perspectivist point of view came about.

Consider this first. Organic beings are not so much ‘beings’ as they are things that are being. For, what makes something organic in this sense is that it is alive. And living things struggle to survive. Part of this struggle is the drive to believe in things and to be self-aware.

So let’s reconsider what we call “consciousness” and “spirit.” It is not a matter of subjectivity. There is no stable subject involved in consciousness or mind. There is rather the struggle to survive.

For struggle there must be multiplicity. And this struggle runs deep. Since we so profoundly fight to survive, humanity testifies to an incredible force found in one person’s internal strife, or between the struggles of many creatures in conflict with one another. Their power is sublime. They 'play with the stars.'

Comment naît le point de vue perspectiviste et l’erreur ? Dans la mesure où, grâce à un être organique, ce n’est pas un être mais la lutte elle-même qui veut durer, qui veut croître et prendre conscience d’elle-même.

Ce que nous appelons le « conscient » et « l’esprit », n’est qu’un moyen et un instrument grâce auquel ce n’est pas un sujet mais un lutte qui tâche à se conserver.

L’homme témoigne des forces inouïes qui peuvent être mises en oeuvre par un petit être de nature composite (ou par une lutte qui se perpétue, concentrée sur un grand nombre de petits êtres).

Des êtres qui jouent avec les astres.
